We may not have “a new sheriff in town”, but for the first time in San Diego’s history, the new city attorney is a woman. Mara Elliott, a former chief deputy city attorney, was handily elected in November. Only three other women have been on a ballot for city attorney, and just one qualified for a runoff. Elliott stops by NBC 7’s Politically Speaking to discuss what she’s finding as the head of this municipal law firm.
