Politically Speaking: The Homeless and The Cost to Taxpayers

There are business and hotel owners around the city and county who worry about what the growing homeless population could do to tourism. It’s an industry that makes up a significant portion of the city’s tax revenue. NBC 7’s Greg Bledsoe speaks with Elvin Lai, the president and CEO of the Ocean Park Inn in Pacific Beach. Lai is also involved with the Hotel Motel Association, the Tourism Authority, and The California Hotel and Lodging Association.
