Politically Speaking: The Naming of Robert E. Lee Elementary

Friday marked the deadline for feedback on whether San Diego’s Board of Education should rename Robert E. Lee Elementary School in Paradise Hills. Next week, results of the community-wide survey will be released. Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez, who advocates a name change, and Trevore Humphrey, educator with San Diego Unified’s History Center, spoke with NBC 7’s Gene Cubbision about the issue.
