Politically Speaking: Race for City Attorney, Pt. II

In the race for City Attorney, Republican Robert Hickey, a deputy district attorney, is facing off against Democrat Mara Elliott, a chief deputy city attorney. The city attorney’s office prosecutes misdemeanors, provides legal advice to city officials and defends the city in civil cases, among other responsibilities. Incumbent Jan Goldsmith, a Republican, can’t run again due to term limits. NBC 7’s Mari Payton speaks with Elliot and Hickey on Politically Speaking in part two of this discussion.
