Local Deputies to Carry Life-Saving Drug

More than 300 San Diegans will overdose on heroin or prescription opiates this year. But some of those lives could be saved by fast action from authorities. As NBC 7’s Mari Payton reports, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is at the forefront of a national effort to reduce deaths from illegal drug use by carrying a life-saving medication.
