1 Dies in Shootout With Law Enforcement in Lemon Grove

Four law enforcment officers with La Mesa PD, San Diego PD and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department opened fire, killing a suspect following a pursuit through La Mesa, Spring Valley and Lemon Grove. A homicide investigator said the suspect shot at officers with a handgun.
