California Falls Behind on Hospital Inspections and Infection Rates

Consumer Union discovered that California has failed to hold hospitals accountable when they report high patient infection rates. Over 100 of the state’s hospitals have not been inspected in the past five years, including the Scripps Mercy hospital in Chula Vista. NBC 7’s Investigates reporter Mari Payton explains the issue.
