2 Local Students Win Energy Conservation Awards

Last month, NBC 7 teamed up with the San Diego County Office of Education and Energy Upgrade California to visit 4th and 5th graders around the county and teach them about energy conservation. The students then wrote essays to show what they learned about the important topic. NBC 7’s Whitney Southwick speaks with the winners of the essay contest, Rio Seco Elementary School student Karina Thompson and Naranca Elementary School student Ali Alwaily. Mitch Moore of Energy Upgrade and Tina Chin of the County of Education also share details about the program.
