Death Benefits at Center of Mayoral Debate

Interim Mayor Todd Gloria wants to assure that all city employees receive full benefits if they’re ever injured in the event of a tragedy. The issue concerns the implementation of Proposition B, or pension reform, as it applies to death and disability benefits for firefighters, lifeguards and other city new-hires and has become a major issue in the mayoral race.
