Grant Winner Discusses Innovative Program

The 21st Century Solutions grant challenge is underway, awarding money to nonprofit organizations that have created innovative programs to help solve community issues. The NBCUniversal Foundation will fund these grants to provide a total of $1.2 million to nonprofits nationwide and in San Diego. Locally, NBC 7 will work with the Foundation to award $100,000 across three nonprofits. NBC 7’s Whitney Southwick speaks with a previous winner of the grant, Ray Uzeta of the Chicano Federation, about how the challenge his innovative program addresses.
