For their efforts, the Toreros stayed at number 11 in the latest Baseball America Top-25 poll. San Diego is one of five California teams to make the list. UC Irvine is ranked 5th, Cal State Fullerton 7th, Pepperdine 12th, and Cal Poly SLO 25th. LSU is ranked #1 overall.
This week doesn't get any easier for the Toreros. They host Western Carolina on Tuesday, then start a 4-game set with San Diego State on Thursday at Cunningham Stadium. Aztecs ace and preseason All-American Stephen Strasburg gets the start in game one.
