Playing for a Pay Day

Heading into the Chargers final preseason game, we often hear the old refrain about this being a meaningless game. However, that’s not really the case. The minimum NFL rookie salary is $450,000 and the veteran minimum is $760,00. If a player survives the Chargers final roster cut and makes the team, then he’s headed for a big pay day. If a player doesn’t make the final cut, then he’s missing out on that paycheck. So many players it could pay to play and play well in this final preseason game.
