Teen Moves From Skid Row to Howard University

James Ward and his family bounced between homeless shelters for most of his life. Determined to achieve more for himself and his loved ones, Ward was accepted to Howard University in Washington, D.C. When Ward’s loan applications were denied, a woman who used to be homeless stepped in to help. Lucy Noland reports for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2013.
