SpaceX Becomes 1st Private Vendor to Ferry Astronauts to ISS

Four astronauts aboard Crew Dragon are on their way to the International Space Station after an historic launch at Kennedy Space Center. NASA’s Commercial Crew Program “charters” flights to the ISS on a rocket and in a capsule built by SpaceX, a private vendor. Navy Cmdr. Victor Glover, one of the three U.S. astronauts, will also be the first Black astronaut on a long-term space station mission.
