Macron, Le Pen to Face Off in France's Presidential Election

In a twist reminiscent of the American presidential election, most French voters voted against France’s mainstream candidates in favor of a right-wing nationalist and an independent candidate for presidency. Emmanuel Macron came in first for the majority of French voters on Sunday at 23.7 percent, with far-right populist Marine Le Pen coming in second at 21.5 percent.
