From the Archives: Recovering from the Bel Air Fire

The National Guard was put into action to support the effects to control the Bel Air Brush Fire. The Bel Air Fire began as a brush fire on Nov. 5 1961. The fire spread burning more than 15,000 acres and destroying more than 450 homes. Original Air Date: Nov. 1961.
