A plane that departed from Oakland to Seattle made an emergency landing back at the Oakland International Airport Friday night after encountering a bird-strike, officials said.
Alaska Airlines Flight 349, a Boeing 737, departed at 6:47 p.m. and returned safely to the Oakland airport at 7:18 p.m. After the plane landed it went through a maintenance inspection.
Authorities said there were no injuries reported. There were 153 passenger aboard the plane during the incident.
Alaska Airlines has arranged a replacement plane for passengers, which is scheduled to depart at midnight.
