Weekly San Diego Sports Preview

Here’s a look at what is going on in San Diego sports for the week of April 3^rd-9^th.

PADRES: Monday is like Spring Christmas because it’s Opening Day! The Padres start the season on the road in Los Angeles Monday-Thursday. Their home opener is Friday against the Giants at 3:40 p.m. and everyone gets a free t-shirt. Saturday is a 5:40 p.m. start with a postgame laser show and Sunday is Compadres Kids Signings with a 1:40 p.m. start.

GULLS: Wednesday the Gulls hit the road to face the Heat in Stockton before a home-and-home match up against the Reign. Friday they’re at the Valley View Casino Center celebrating the Ducks Stanley Cup 10^th Anniversary with a free Ducks Stanley Cup Mini-Banner, puck drops at 7 p.m. Saturday they’re in Ontario.

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA SAN DIEGO TRITONS:

-WOMEN’S TENNIS: Monday vs. Hawaii Hilo 2 p.m. at UCSD and Thursday at Point Loma 3 p.m.

-SOFTBALL: Friday vs. Humboldt State 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and Saturday vs. Humboldt State 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

-MEN’S TENNIS: Friday at Point Loma 3 p.m. and Saturday at Sonoma State 1:30 p.m.
