Sweetwater Votes to Limit Campaign Contributions
Tuesday night, the Sweetwater Union High School District voted to set a $750 limit on campaign contributions made to school board members. Back in 2012, the homes of some school board members were raided amid allegations they accepted gifts from contractors in return for their votes on construction projects for the district. It’s the fifth time in two years the board had considered the issue. NBC 7’s Rory Devine gave this report before Tuesday’s meeting.
