UC San Diego Fencers Head to National Championship

There will be 144 competitors at the NCAA Fencing National Championships in Cleveland and five of them are from U.C. San Diego. The Tritons have never had a national fencing champ. They’ll have five chances at it this year, led by the West Region Sabre titlist. NBC 7 SportsWrap’s Derek Togerson has a look at how the program could fare in Ohio.
