USC Alum Killed in Ship's Sinking “Had a Passion” For Sailing

USC alum Claudene Christian was aboard the HMS Bounty became caught in Superstorm Sandy and sank off the coast of North Carolina. Some 14 other crewmembers were pulled safely from the water, but the captain remained missed late Monday. The historic ship was built for Marlon Brando’s “Mutiny on the Bounty” and has been used in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series.
