Nearly 100 people died and nearly 200 more were injured in a 7.2 magnitude earthquake in the Philippines. Now, some Filipinos in San Diego are struggling to get in touch with their loved ones. NBC 7’s Chris Chan explains why the devastation from the quake could have been much worse.
