CHP investigating as possible road rage

A sailor was shot on the way to work on Monday morning, prompting officials to launch an investigation on the freeway.

A Navy sailor was shot at several times Monday morning as he drive to work, according to California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on northbound 125 at westbound state Route 94 in Lemon Grove.

The driver stationed at Naval Base San Diego at 32nd St. was uninjured and was able to board his ship for work, though his car received four bullet holes.

CHP is investigating the case as possible road rage.
