A 57-year-old man was hit and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Lincoln Park Sunday night, the San Diego Police Department said.

According to Officer John Buttle of the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened around 7:15 p.m. at 4900 Logan Ave. and S. 49th St. The man was crossing Logan Ave. at mid-block when a driver who was driving eastbound on Logan Ave. struck the man, Buttle said.

Buttle said the driver fled the scene eastbound on 4900 Logan Ave. The suspected vehicle was described as a white Dodge Charger.

The man was transported to a hospital where he died of his injuries, Buttle said.

Traffic division responded to the scene and are investigating the crash.
