Padres Lose Longball Battle at Wrigley

Chase Headley homers twice in 11-7 loss to Cubs.

A bald eagle landed on the pitcher's mound as part of the Memorial Day observance before the game at Wrigley field.

Chase Headley homered twice.  He now has seven on the season.  Will Venable hit his 4th and Everth Cabrera hit his first of the season. The Padres don't need to move in the fences at PETCO Park. They need a giant wind machine that blows out when they're at the plate.

Alfonso Soriano homered off Alex Hinshaw to give the Cubs an 8-7 lead in the sixth inning.
This was after Jeff Suppan had allowed six runs on six hits over five innings. Hinshaw the loser, he's now 0-2.

The Cubs went on to win 11-7. The Padres are now 17-33 and have the most losses in baseball.
