Salute to Service: USS George Washington

NBC 7’s Salute to Service recognizes aircraft carrier USS George Washington. While in Japan, USS George Washington played a significant role helping with maritime security in the Indio-Asia Pacific region. The ship sailed out of Yokosuka, Japan, for the last time recently, bound for Virginia. Some 2,000 sailors and Marines will return to Yokosuka on board USS Ronald Regan, the ship that will replace USS George Washington.
