Salute to Service – ‘Seebees' Canine Companion ‘Zoey'

This morning we salute the mascot of the Navy’s Mobile Construction Battalions in Sasebo, Japan. She’s a dog named “Zoey” and to the “Seebees” who work at the base she’s much more than a mascot. For the past 3 years she’s been living at the base and to the sailors, she’s family. Zoey isn’t allowed to sleep with the sailors in their barracks so every morning, every night and on the weekends they’re always sure someone is able to feed and take care of her. She’s probably the only mascot in any “Seebees” battalion anywhere.
