Salute – MOH Clinton Romesha
NBC 7 salutes a former Army sergeant from North Dakota who was honored with the military’s highest award. President Obama honored Staff Sergeant Clinton Romesha with the Congressional Medal of Honor during a White House ceremony yesterday. In 2009, he led a unit of 53 troops in a successful firefight against more than 300 Taliban fighters at a remote U-S outpost in Afghanistan. Despite severe injuries, the 31-year old stayed in the fight, even rescuing fellow injured soldiers.
