Man Threatens to Kill Over Groceries: Cops

A San Diego man threatened to shoot and kill a store clerk over a cartful of groceries according to police.

La Mesa police first heard about the threat when the store reported the theft on July 21.

The man packed a cart full of items at the Albertson’s on Fletcher Parkway.

As he was trying to walk out of the store, a clerk tried to stop him.

That’s when he threatened to shoot and kill the clerk police said.

Detectives later identified the suspect as Robert Titus, Jr., 23, of San Diego. They arrested him on Aug. 17 at his home.

He’s been booked on one charge of robbery.
