Here are a few facts included in the interview: Lung Cancer is the leading cause of cancer in every ethnic group. Nearly 80 percent of new lung cancer cases are former smokers and those who never smoked. The survival rate for lung cancer is 15 percent and considered very low compared to other cancer types.
