How Officers Protect Themselves From Violence

Oceanside police held a memorial run for Officer Dan Bessant, who was killed in the line of duty eight years ago Saturday. According to the Department of Justice, one officer is killed on the job every 58 hours. NBC7’s Liberty Zabala spoke with police about how they keep themselves safe in light of these tragedies.
