A small brush fire broke out Monday afternoon along Interstate 805 near Valencia Park.
The fire was reported just before 1:30 p.m. burning at the edge of a bridge near South 47th Street and Solola Avenue.
San Diego Fire-Rescue crews quickly got a handle on the fire without any damage to nearby structures.
SDFD said 2.5 acres had burned by 2:09 p.m.
No other information was available.
