Family-Owned Jewelry Store Burglarized in Rancho Bernardo

RB Jewelers, a family-owned jewelry store in Rancho Bernardo, was burglarized overnight. Nicole Gomez reports.

A family-owned jewelry store in Rancho Bernardo was burglarized early Tuesday.

San Diego Police Department (SDPD) officers responded to an alarm at RB Jewelers on Oaks North Drive at Pomerado Road at about 2:15 a.m. and discovered someone had broken into the business.

Windows were shattered, furniture was tossed around inside the store and papers were strewn about.

The business is equipped with surveillance cameras and investigators are examining that footage to piece together details of the crime.

RB Jewelers has a long history in the community and is currently operated by the son and daughter of the original owners.

The daughter of one of the owners told NBC 7 the only thing taken by the burglars was a display case with watchbands worth about $400.
