Myrtle Cole Swearing In

Myrtle Cole, a labor organizer and onetime community college police officer, won a special election last month to serve out the remaining term of Tony Young, which ends in December of next year. She’s the first African-American woman to serve on the Council. And the first woman to represent the 4th in its 80-year history.
