National City Residents Spent Sunday Without Water Service

Water was back on Sunday night for residents in a National City apartment complex. They were evacuated when a 16-inch cast iron pipe burst around four this morning. Water ran five blocks from 45th Street to an apartment complex along Delta Street. People were given bottled water from the water department. Utility workers spent the day working on repairs. At one point, the water was up to a foot deep. The water was turned back on around 4 p.m. Sunday.
