Valentine's Day is taking on a new look for some couples who are booking local helicopter tours of the San Diego coastline.
"It's out of the ordinary to surprise your loved one, " says Mandy Patterson, Vice President of Operations for Corporate Helicopters.
The company is offering a special deal as low as $199 per couple over the Valetnine's Weekend, Feb. 13-15. Depending on which tour client's select, it could include a bird's-eye-view that spans Del Mar all the way down to the Coronado bridge.
"A lot of people choose the sunset tour, but my personal favorite is the mid-afternoon tour when the sun is higher and not glaring in your face, " says Patterson.
The rides are popular and reservations are going fast according to the Corporate Helicopters especially for Saturday, Valentine's Day, but there are plenty of openings on both Feb.13 and Feb. 15.
Corporate Helicopters which is based out of Montgomery Field has been around since 1989 and has been conducting Valentine's Day tours for several years. Gift cards are available.
