Salute – The Boneyard

NBC 7 salutes the “Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group” in Tuscon, Arizona. Better known as “The Boneyard,” it consists of more than 4,000 aircraft, all of which have exceeded their useful service lives. Since 1962 this is where the military has sent fighters, bombers, tankers and other long-since flown aircraft and covers some 2,600 acres in the Arizona desert.
