Morning Salute – Renewable Energy Efforts at Yokosuka

Saluting the renewable energy efforts of Fleet Activities in Yokosuka, Japan. Earlier this year they installed solar panels atop the Sullivan School and the commissary and in these hot summer months the project is really paying off. The energy generated by the panels is enough to provide power to the school and whatever isn’t used gets put back into the power grid. The project saves the government an estimated $350,000 per year.
