The moment that some of you have been waiting for is here: Kaaboo just unleashed its daily lineup for the Sept. 13-15 Del Mar music festival.
You can enter the royal court on Friday, Sept. 13, as Kings of Leon lead a string of huge Day 1 names, from Maren Morris to Snoop Dogg with arguably the greatest hip-hop collective of all time, Wu-Tang Clan, and the Cult to Boyz II Men.
Dave Matthews Band crash into Day 2 on Saturday, Sept. 14, with the Black Eyed Peas, One Republic, Sublime With Rome and Switchfoot topping an eclectic collection of artists.
Finally, Kaaboo closes out on Sunday, Sept. 15, with Mumford & Sons, Duran Duran, Sheryl Crow and some more throwbacks, including the Bangles and Lifehouse.
The underrepresentation of hip-hop and Latinx artists is a bit surprising -- especially considering we're a border town, after all -- but there's always room for improvement.
Last year's Kaaboo brought Foo Fighters, Katy Perry, Robert Plant, Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa and Big Boi to the idyllic Del Mar festival grounds, and in years prior, the annual fest has featured other iconic music acts like Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers (sadly, one of Petty's last performances before his untimely passing), P!nk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ice Cube, Aerosmith and the Killers.
