99-Cent Store Sparks Debate in Escondido

The City of Escondido has said no to a new 99-Cents Only store downtown, limiting the amount of discount shopping choices in the area. The decision has created controversy, however, as some proponents of the store enjoy the merchandise – and bargains – the chain has to offer.
