San Diego

It's a Foggy Friday, San Diego!

The dense fog advisory affects residents in Vista, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Chula Vista, National City and San Diego

Dense overnight fog has again formed along much of Southern California coastal areas.

The National Weather Service says the pattern should repeat and expand into all valleys by Sunday as the marine layer deepens in response to an approaching low-pressure system.

A series of weather systems next week will bring periods of rain, snow in the mountains and cool conditions.

After a tremendously rainy January and February, March has been dry and hot, with summerlike highs reaching into the 90s in some parts of Southern California.

Spring begins at 3:29 a.m. Monday.
