    Triple-digit heat is expected to arrive this weekend in parts of Imperial and Riverside counties, including Joshua Tree National Park.

    The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch for the deserts including Borrego Springs for Sunday and Monday with temperatures expected to reach 109 to 113.

    Experts advise residents and visitors to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
