    Saks Fifth Avenue closes its store May 7 to allow Mother's Day shoppers to buy at a discount to help Project Concern International end poverty. Tickets are $45 advance purchase and $50 at the door..

    To celebrate Mother's Day and help families in need around the world, Saks Fifth Avenue is closing it's doors May 7 for a special "Shop for a Cause, Shop for Mom" event. Everything in the store will be 15% off including makeup, which doesn't happen very often. And there is more high end stuff  being offered up ,including a "Designer Raffle" featuring a Prada handbag, and two round-trip tickets to London on Virgin Atlantic Airlines.

    The cause is Project Concern International (PCI). It's goal is to end poverty by 2015. All proceeds from the event will go toward PCI projects that support women and mothers worldwide.

    Tickets to the event are available for advanced purchase for $45 or $50 at the door.

    The evening's program which starts at 6pm includes a Mother's Day Trend Presentation in which mother-daughter teams will model several designer clothing lines. And other raffle items include VIP tickets to The Ellen Degeneres Show, an exclusive spa package from Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa.
