San Diegans Spend Away the Recession

Middle income urban families don't throttle back on spending, reports Time magazine

Americans are spending less money but people aren't cutting back in all corners of the country, according to a published report.

There are certain cities where people are more likely to spend than others, according to Time magazine, and San Diego is one of them. Other cities with a high proportion of likely spenders include San Francisco, Washington, Seattle and Denver.

The spenders tend to be middle-income urban families who want to protect the quality of their lifestyle, the news weekly reported.
