Mission Valley Gets New Grocers

The old Border's space in Mission Valley will house Trader Joe's and Ulta Beauty

There’s about to be a bunch more grocery options in Mission Valley: Trader Joe’s and Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market will soon open in Westfield Shopping Center.

The old Border’s space on 1072 Camino Del Rio North will house both TJ’s and an Ulta Beauty store. TJ’s will take up 13,200 sq. ft. and Ulta will occupy 11,600 sq. ft., according to a spokesperson for Westfield.

Fresh & Easy has an unknown opening date in the space at 1660 Camino De La Reina, near the La-Z-Boy furniture store.

There are currently 17 Fresh & Easy markets throughout San Diego County and 11 Trader Joe’s stores. The new locations will be competing with a few other grocery stores in the area, including Food 4 Less, Target, Costco and Ralph’s.
