Instead of heading to the mall for some holiday shopping this weekend, you might consider attending an auction in Mission Valley.
The San Diego Police Department is selling off several items of unclaimed property, including electronics, new clothing and jewelry.
The auction will be held Saturday at the Scottish Rite Center in Mission Valley. It gets under way at 10 a.m. Parking is free.
