    Friday, July 6

    Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar
    5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. La Jolla

    Kick of your weekend wine tasting at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in La Jolla. Fleming’s will present first Fridays wine tasting featuring 20 wines from one of the world’s top grape-growing regions. The cost is $25 per guest. Space is limited so make sure to come early to get your taste on.

    Summer Safari Park
    9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at San Diego Zoo Safari Park

    Take an adventure to the San Diego Zoo where you can explore the sights, sounds, and flavors of a summer safari. Bring the whole family through the jungle ropes of all the wildlife festivities. Come get up close and personal to feel the true experience of a summer safari.  

    Saturday, July 7

    Carlsbad Community Wellness Expo
    10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Westfield Plaza Camino Real Mall

    Do you want to live a healthy and fit life? Come join the Community Wellness Expo for fun and excitement on Saturday July 7 at the Westfield Plaza Camino Real in Carlsbad. Individuals and families will get to experience health demonstrations, health screenings, and wellness products for a healthier lifestyle. Also, check out the Carlsbad Triathlon the following day on July 8 from 6 a.m. to noon on Tamarack State Beach. This is a free event.

    San Diego Soul Food Festival
    12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium in Mission Valley

    Thousands of San Diegans are attending this year 2nd Annual San Diego Soul Food Festival on Saturday July 7 at Qualcomm Stadium. There will be lots of beer, live entertainment and some of the best soul food around. Portions of proceeds go to The Semper Fi Fund. Be sure to buy your tickets in advance to avoid missing out on this festival of fun. Advance tickets are $60 online and $60 cash-only at the door. Visit the website for more details.

    Sunday, July 8

    Encinitas Sunday Concerts by the Sea
    3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas

    Its summer time and Moonlight Beach is welcoming you to Concerts by the Sea. Grab your beach blankets and chairs to listen and dance to some great music by the beach. Be sure to arrive early to this free event.

    Old Town Grub Sprawl
    5:45 p.m. at 2444 San Diego Ave.

    Try some of Old Town's most flavorful restaurants at the third Grub Sprawl of the year. And guess what? Turns out Old Town has more than Mexican food. Burgers, sushi and country fried steak will all be available for tasting at this event. Tastings at the 10 restaurants will cost $5 apiece.
