Will Ferrell to Visit San Diego

The man who plays Ron Burgundy will be hosting a pub crawl

News team, assemble! Will Ferrell is coming to town and in case you didn’t hear, he’s kind of a big deal.

Mr. Ron Burgundy himself will be gracing San Diego with his presence on Saturday to host a pub crawl.

The good news? He’s in town to fundraise for Cancer for College, which provides scholarships to cancer survivors. The bad news might put you in a glass case of emotion … because the event is already sold out.

For the 120 people who already scored tickets, get ready to get your drink on. Two double-decker buses will ferry participants between local bars, including Tiger! Tiger! and Automatic Brewing Company.

Last year the event raised more than $45,000 for the nonprofit. Organizers said they have already exceeded last year's donation thanks to additional supporters.

At the end of the event Ferrell will be making an appearance at Blind Lady Alehouse in Normal Heights, where he will meet with 12 donors to: “Share a private beer and wax poetically about the philosophies of life,” according to a press release.

Event goers (who paid a minimum of $300 to attend) will be gifted with beer-related swag, including a growler full of limited edition Will Ferrell IPA. Now that’s classy.

This event is 21 and older, and starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 at Blind Lady Alehouse. And if you’re going, don’t forget your jazz flute.
