April 20 has morphed into a social, political and cultural event, with 4/20 fests lighting up college towns and urban centers from Seattle to Boulder, Colo., to New York City.
San Diego is no exception as locals can enjoy Maryjane's special menu this afternoon. With a bunch of specials Maryjane's Coffee Shop will be sure to keep even the biggest advocate of the holiday stuffed for a bargain.
Beginning at 4:20 p.m., Maryjane’s entire menu including cocktails will be $4.20. The retro-chic restaurant--located in the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego--is known for its comfort food with a contemporary twist.
The $4.20 menu will be offered until 8:40 p.m. and will include everything from the double patty Cardioburger with double cheese and bacon to the savory Pork Carnitas Soft Tacos to the 14-oz Rib-Eye Steak to the Cinnamon Brioche French Toast with fresh berries. Maryjane's will also be serving up a few specials like a bong hit shot--guaranteed to get patrons in the holiday spirit--and the Mirv burger--an Angus beef patty sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches--a local favorite that is not featured on the printed menu. Clientele should come thirsty too with wine, drafts and wells included in the price special.
The 4 hour and 20 minute event will feature live DJ entertainment in addition to the food and drink specials.
