Fro-yo Funder

Today is great "frozen yogurt" weather, plenty of sunshine and nice, warm temperatures.  And, while it may be cooling down a bit this weekend, you still might want to think about making a special trip to The Big Chill in Scripps Ranch on Saturday because your purchase will help a pretty special young man walk again.

"Help Patrick Walk" is the name of the web site that tells the story of teenager Patrick Ivison, who's spent the past dozen years confined to a wheel chair.  His spine was crushed in a freak accident when he was still a toddler.

Today Patrick is a freshman at Scripps Ranch High School and, it's safe to say,  has more heart than the entire football team put together.

Maybe you saw his story recently on NBC's Today Show, the one that showed him surfing.  That's right, Patrick is a member of the SRHS surf team.  His next big goal is to walk again but that takes a ton of money for special rehab.

That's where you come in and this Saturday, along with whatever you donate, you get to enjoy a tasty treat at at The Big Chill Frozen Yogurt in Scripps Ranch.  Just think how much better it will taste knowing where the proceeds are going.

To see the Today Show story, which actually tells Patrick's story as well as it can be told, just go to his website.
